We took arrival of our first Alpacas in July 2010, we only intended to buy three pet males, but ended up purchasing 6 breeding females & 6 pet males from the Wessex Alpacas dispersal sale.

2010 was a learning curve for us , although we had both dealt with farm animals all our lives,, trimming their feet, injections, shearing ( we had Australian shearer's to do this) learning confirmation and fleece quality gave us still plenty to learn.

We have had a lot of help from Edward Billington "Cedar house Alpacas" we have used his stud male Cedarhouse Storm 2 , and this year 2011 have produced some beautiful cria's , so we now have 6 cria,s running around! Barnie, Bertrice, Bella, Bingo, Barley and big surpise Bianca, who mum we thought hadn't taken. As you can guess this is the year of the B's

We are waiting to send our fleeces away to a small mill that can process them, and we know we have our fleeces back, and then can use them for garments, socks, scarfs, gloves Etc.

We decided to hold an open weekend, so people interested in possibly purchasing Alpacas, or just love them can come and feel free to mingle and learn more about them, can enjoy close up and personal. Wendy Billington a respected Breeder and Judge will be giving talks on different aspects of Alpacas , and hopefully we will be joined by Damory Vets to give a talk.

Please feel free to come along and experience the joy of Alpacas!!
