Longthorns site suits all types of camping. We offer a well maintained level site, good fencing, beautiful backdrop of trees ,an un spoilt atmosphere. We aim to keep the site running in a relaxed and informal way, you will not find a club house, the provisions store is the Honesty Shop,you can have a barbeque and sit round your camp fire.You will not find regimented pitches, we use the outside of the camping field leaving the middle free for recreation and to enjoy the views.

Monkey World is right next door, so you wake up to the morning calls and noises of the residents, sometimes the Tanks from the Bovington Training base are noisy,the Gliders from the gliding club next door soar around overhead on the thermals, then swoop down to land, all this adds to the unique atmosphere of Longthorns.

Honesty Shop, stocking Bread, Eggs, Milk Sugar, Tea Coffee, we now have deliveries of Bacon, Sausages, cheese, butter,Etc This is unmanned and based on trust. Thank you, you can pre-order your food box to be ready on your arrival
