The Farm

Longthorns is a 47-acre farm, we make hay and haylage on our farm, we also run a small herd of shorthorn cattle on the SSSI (Sites of Special Scientific Interest) which adjoins Longthorns.

Alpacas walking is another part of the farm, we still breed, but on a very small scale, our fleeces are sold to Uk Alpaca along with other UK Alpaca breeders that produce fleece, the fleece is processed, and sent for dyeing, then to a sock making factory in Devon to enable us to buy back, to in turn sell to our Longhorn guests.

Communication

Longthorns has a WI-FI hot spot around reception and on the patio area, this is a free service. Mobile phone coverage is sketchy around the farm.  TV reception is stronger in the main camping field.

There are no bus routes that pass Longthorns, taxi's run to Wool Train Station where you can catch a train or the bus. Taxi numbers available in reception or on our website.  Directions
